A Jolt of Joy

Whenever I can - I buy eggs from my Naturopath, who actually raises chickens in the yard next to her office - organic and free range.  Happy beautiful chickens - wonderful eggs.  Tonight I boiled 6 of them. A few minutes ago I looked at them in the pan, and just smiled because of the colors.  They are tan, cream, beige, pink, and actually green and blue - amazing!  I am always especially tickled by those blue and green eggs!

What grabbed me tonight was that someone like me, who spends so much time getting sucked under by dark heavy waves of clinical depression, can still look at eggs in a pan and have my creative spirit respond with a tiny jolt of joy from noticing their uniqueness.  Not a big miracle, but a miracle nevertheless. I will take it... with gratitude.

It always amazes me Lori what makes me smile and brings me joy. Your lovely eggs with all their pastels sounds delightful! I have been trying to talk Precious Husband into getting some chicks - would be so much fun - and fresh eggs, well, just delightful! Love the post.
Hugs,
Dorothy

I just saw this comment from 6 months ago - but it still brightened my day. People so seldom comment in here - it's really nice to hear such a lovely response. So a belated thanks Dorothy - and hugs right back!
